If you are viewing this in IE6 then you are probably seeing a bit of 'modern art' something like a diagonal black Christmas tree.
If you are using any other browser then congratulations, you should be seeing a nice diagonal rainbow.
This demonstration makes use of transparent borders, which are handled correctly in every browser but IE.
