Information
After producing the neon lights menu which was based on one I produced for my 'Mambo' website many years ago, I have gone back to the same website and resurrected another menu.
This is my basic dropdown menu which works in all the latest browsers (including IE6) but modified to use of my early graphic attempts at pixel art. This is in the form of a 'scroll' that unrolls to reveal the single sublevel list when hovering over the top level links.
It was originally used on a black background but works well with any color.
This menu has a fixed width for each menu item, but could be modified to make it variable widths although this would require splitting each image into three pieces so that the central image could expand to fit.
This has been tested in IE6, IE7, Firefox and Opera, but should be ok in Safari, Camino and Konquerer.
There are three images used in this menu.
The top scroll image
The fill-in scroll image
The bottom scroll image
