Super animation - just for the fun of it

23rd April 2006

If you have FIREFOX just place you mouse over the image and do not move it

All other browsers move the mouse SLOWLY in any direction

Information

As I am getting a bit tired of doing css for real applications, so I have decide to do this just for the fun of it.

Based on an original piece of work by www.khmerang.com, this has been modified to make it simpler and to make it 'almost' work in IE5.01, IE5.5 and IE6 (and probably IE7).

It works as required in Firefox where all you need do is hover the mouse over the above image to see it move all by itself. It may take a second or two to start the animation, depending on how fast a connection you have,

Internet Explorer requires the mouse to be kept moving in any direction. The speed of movement governs the speed of the animation.

Opera 9, Mozilla 1.7.13 and Netscape 8.0 all work in a similar fashion to IE.

Feedback on whether other browsers are up to the challenge would be appreciated.

...and remember this is just for fun ;o) a break from real applications.

Style and markup completely rewritten to make it smoother in Internet Explorer, moving the images from background to foreground and using single frame images rather than a film strip.
