A simple method of producing a panoramic image scroller.
This method uses two background images. One is the compressed image and the other is the full size panoramic image.
The compressed image is held as the background image for the outer div. The inner list holds a 32 x 1 grid of links which in turn hold the full size panoramic image as the background of ems which are normally hidden from view.
When your mouse is hovered over any of these links, indicated by the dark green bar at the bottom of the compressed image, the ems are displayed at an absolute position and the background position adjusted to make it look as though the image is being scrolled.
As with the previous demo Internet Explorer and Opera have a smooth transition between images whereas FF flashes from one background image to the next.
Firefox v1.5 Beta fixes this problem.
